Musique de Laurent Saïet
Le compositeur Laurent Saïet, fasciné par le travail de Chris Marker sur la mémoire et le temps, décide d’en trouver une équivalence musicale puis propose aux vidéastes Sylvain Bélot, Gilbert Carsoux et Pascal Frament de travailler chacun, à partir de sa musique, sur un film expérimental inspiré plus particulièrement du film le plus célèbre de Marker : La jetée (1962).
Dans ce projet, ou la musique préexiste aux images, il collabore également avec Patrick Müller qui a mixé la musique et effectué sa mise en espace en 5.1 lors des premières présentations de ce projet en 2008-2009 (Instants Chavirés, Montreuil ; Cinéma La clef, Paris).
The composer Laurent Saïet, intrigued by the work of Chris Marker on memory and time, decided to look for a musical equivalent and suggested to videographers Sylvain Bélot, Gilbert Carsoux and Pascal Frament that they each work from his music on an experimental film inspired mainly by Marker’s best-known work: La jetée (1962).
In this project, where the music pre-exists the visual material, he also collaborated with Patrick Müller who mixed and did the spatial organisation of the music in 5.1 for the first presentations of the project in 2008-2009 (Instants Chavirés, Montreuil; La clef cinema, Paris).
