PikPus was born from the meeting at the end of the 90s of Pik and Pusse alias Léo and Mika, two designers publishing their work at Gotoproduction in various photocopied fanzines. Autodidacts, their first disordered compositions, strongly inspired by the Residents rarely exceeded one minute. Composed and recorded with the means of the edges, cheap microphones and other instruments found in trash cans, this curious raw music was then edited on cassettes distributed in some places such as the famous Bimbo Tower, where in particular he met the Mami Chan Band, which some members will participate in the album PikPus Stomac. For this album, the PikPus decided to leave their room to record on a Tascam 244, in a workshop of artists working the metal. A crowd of participants were invited to realize, by discovering recording techniques and a certain approach to music, a self-published CDR album. That will give PikPus Stomac, last album of the short career of PikPus, mixed by Patrick Müller and today exhumed of the oblivion by Trace Label. Then Pik and Pusse will follow their own paths, solo but also within Dragibus for the one and the Mami Chan Band, Pupusse et Patrack, Chantal Morte and now Lèche Moi, for the other.
