With his sixth solo album on Trace Label, and after his adventures with the Endlesston trio (“Between time” on Infrastition), Laurent Saïet leaves cinematographic lands to take an inspiration in H.P. Lovecraft’s short stories. Each title of this album use the name of fictional or real places from these stories (Arkham; Miskatonic; Providence …) or emblematic figures of his literary work (Necronomicon; Cthulhu). With the help of guest musicians (Quentin Rollet, Jean-Noël Cognard, Ben Ritter), Laurent Saïet tries to recreate the singular atmosphere of each of these short stories, with contemplative, strange & disturbing soundscapes ou even nightmarish at the end: An invisible threat existing on the whole album bursts on the last title “Cthulhu”
